Isopleth




Isopleth maps are the general name for a large of maps.  They use the characteristic contour lines of topographic maps to group areas of similar values.  Examples of isopleth maps are isohyets, isopachs, and isotachs. The map above is a isopleth because it uses contour lines to show amount of rainfall (isohyet).
